Veterans Groups Blast Obama Plan for Private Insurance to Pay for Service-Related Health Care – First 100 Days of Presidency – Politics FOXNews.com

I don’t believe everything I see in e-mail, I look into the facts for myself. So when I got a forward from my grandfather about losing VA health Benefits, I just had to look it up, and this is what I found.
The first thing is that this would only affect those that have private insurance. I am one of those that have private insurance. The Quote from the president is to ‘make the insurance companies pay their fair share.’ The insurance company did not put the soldiers in harms way, how are they reasonable at all for any part of the military related health issues?
This is the same concept as spreading the wealth. Why should I work hard to make sure you can live up to my standards? Insurance companies get their money from me, so this plan basically makes me pay for my own VA benefits. So I am paying my fair share of the cost for health problems I get from serving my country. Where is the benefit in that for me or for other soldiers?
I don’t want my insurance to pay any part of what my service to the country caused. It is not right. The government should continue to pay for all VA medical, and not pass the expenses on to the private insurer.
I did not see anything on soldiers having to pay for their own insurance with still on active duty, which is what the e-mail made it sound like. The government should not be cutting back on VA health care to generate revenue. They should be cutting back on other unnecessary programs, like the one I saw here to give cell phones to those that can not afford them. Why the hell am I paying my taxes to give a cell phone to those that can not afford it on their own? When did having a phone become government reasonability? Get the Federal Government out of state and individual citizen matters. And stop trying to pass government responsibilities to the people.
