The American Flag Banned

An Apartment Complex in Oregon has ban the flying of the American Flag on dwellings and cars. The reason given for the ban was that people might get offended. Well guess what; if you are offended by the American Flag get the hell out of America.
The only rule against flying the flag that I could understand would be not mounting a flag pole on the building. It is a common rule within apartment to not allow mounting items to walls or fences. If I can set up a satellite dish in the yard out side my window, I should be allowed to plant a flag pole in the same spot.
I also do not feel the apartment complex has any right to say weather a flag can be flown on a privately owned vehicle. The cars and motor cycles are not their property and should not be viewed as such. I will fly what ever I want on my car, weather it is a flag or a flag magnet.
We are Americans; you will not see other countries disallowing their flag within residential areas for fear of offending some one. Why are Americans so afraid of being proud to be an American? Be proud and fly your flag.
If I was living at that complex I would get evicted when I heard this new rule. As soon as it was put out that the American Flag was not allowed to be flown, one would be placed on each of my cars, within my apartment windows and anywhere else I could get them up.
This is wrong and should not be allowed by law. Flying the American Flag should be look on as good, not as a threat to the establishment where it is seen.

Flag ban was overturned when the Complex owner got national media attention for the ban. I don’t know weather to be pleased that it was overturned, or be appoled by the fact that the owner did not stick to her position.
