This year the Mojavi Cross, a veterans memorial, was stolen from an isolated location in the desert. A location that many people never knew about untill a park ranger sound it could be offended. He was not offended himself, but felt in necessary to bring a lawsuit against it  and lost repeatedly.  When is was Finlay going to be displayed without the plywood box, some one takes it from a place where no-man would see it unless they went out to see it.

Many times over the past year Veterans have been told they can not display the American Flag in their homes. One man was told that  due to Home Owners Association rules he could not display the flag that has flow in fount of his house for years.  After retiring from farming, he moved into town and bought a house. He put up the flag pole that was infront of his farm house.Each morning he would raise the flag, and would take it down each evening.  He was soon told that the flag pose violated the HOA rules. This was not an issue with the people of the neighborhood, just the four people in the HOA.

Two apartment complexes told residents that they could not display the American Flag because it could offend other residents. If you are offended by the American Flag you can leave the country. These Apartment complexes latter backed down on the eviction threats after National pressure to allow the Flags to remain. I feel that this should not be an issue. Americans should have the right to display the American Flag in any was they see fit, weather it offends people or not.

There are federal laws that protect the right of  Property managers to display the american flag, but these laws do not protect renters or home owners under HOAs. These laws should be ammemded to protect the righhts of Americans to be proud of their country and display the flag. 

Honor our fallen Heros, Fly the American Flag more then just on Memorial day and Veterans day.

After my first session of FFXIV I have found that I need more Video Ram. looks like I will need to build a new system to replace Bahomut again. Time to start looking up part prices.

This woman actually thinks that there are 600 million Americans, and the U.S. Government gets it’s money from the illegal aliens who come into this country and work. It is amazing how stupid some people are. I know not all liberals are stupid, but it seams that the stupid ones are all that make it on the radio or TV.

I will agree that there is a mis-distrabution of wealth in this country. The entertainment industry is making way too much money. This is inpart due to the fact that we Americans are willing to pay outragus amounts of money for entertainment. The fact that Actors and Athlets are making millions is all our fault.

Taxing Americans who make thier money in bussiness providing a real service is foolish. If you want to tax the welthy, tax the entertainment industry more. But, you all know my opinion on the matter of taxes. If we are to have taxes on income, everyone should pay the same precentage of their income, regardless of how many kids they have or how much they gave in charity.

This week I have been in a Security + class paid for by my employer. A newly enforced policy where I am working now requires that all system administrators be Security + certified as well as certified in at least one Operating System. I will be in this class until the end of the week, then I will be taking the Certification test some time soon after. Pray for me on this, my job depends on it.

As I go through this class I have found that there are many things that I already know. I guess that all my years as a sysadmin have been paying off. Even with the knowledge I have there are many things that I still do not have a full handle on for the certification. For the past two years I have been a Unix/Linux Administrator, and the Security + certification test is based mostly on Windows configurations and security. There is so much to the windows OS that I am still not sure of, although the basics of information security are cross platform. My main concern is remembering all the little places to find the settings in the Windows environment.

Well that is enough on me, lets talk about =what the rest of the clan is doing.

I do not remember if I have mentioned the fact that Teresa is getting ready to go back to School for the Forensic Psychology masters this fall. She is looking at taking most of the classes on line so that she is still home for the girls during the day. She is so skilled in studying and research when it comes to School work, I envy how easy it is for her to just maintain 4.0 grades with out having to struggle to get the work done.

Angel and Dannan are growing up fast, its hard to think that they are still so young. Angel is in the top of her class (again) this year, and reading on a 5th grade level , possibly higher. They have run out of higher level books at her school. She is getting great grades, not taking after her father at all. As with all kids she does not like doing her home work, but we have kept on top of it for now.

Dannan has hit those tantrum years that my mother think does not exist. (My brother and I were just too easy to raise from the sounds of it.) She  has gotten to the point of not wanting anyone to do anything, even starts to through a fit when Ang begins to sing in the car. We have about a year to get her out of that before she is old enough to start to pre-k. 

Everything is moving forward in our lives. When have done so much in the past year. We have lost a lot and gained even more. God has blessed us, and I pray that he blesses you all as well.

Also as one of the developers of comicpress I have also taken time to ge to know more of the comic artists that use the system. I have done thing by volunteering some of my time to help out with issues and bug fixes for the current version of comic press. Just yesterday we assisted yamino for http://www.sisterclaire.comwith rebuilding her site after a malware infection caused her to need to bring it down. Luckily we were able to remove the infected files and upgrade her site to the latest version of wordpress and Comicpress. I am looking forward to seeing her get back in to turning out her pages for this excellent comic.

On top of all that side stuff, I have been stressing out over my annual performance review at work. I hate performance reviews, but I understand the need for them. This was my first real yearnot working in a military environment. This was a major change for me. I got off to a rocky start, but I think I am getting a hold of what is expected form me in the civilian job market.  I hope to get a better review next year.

I have been dealing with all of that and Teresa had an operation a little more than a week ago. She had abdominal surgery, so she has not been able to do much by herself, and the girls really don’t understand some times. This are going well here, and looking better every day.

I hope to get back into the swing of things with my fatherhood Friday posts and get started on my comic again.  I hope that once I am back on day shift I can get into a routine for comic posts. It is kind of hard to do whit the schedule they have us on at night. Look for the comic actually getting started this next month, and look for mot of my family and political ranting.

What this site will let you do is see much of the new look and feel of what is to come in the Next version of comicpress. to give you an idea of what you will be able to do from the admin section I have created a limited “Demo” rolled account that will have access to all functional sections and option of the comicpress administration section. This will give you an idea of how different options work, and how they will change the default theme. to access this demo account go to http://dev.kelloggskorner.com  and  use the log in link in the right sidebar with the user and password of demo. The demo account will not have access to widgets or plug-ins, as well as many other admin functions on th site.

5. Comic Calendar widget does not link to comic posts.
6. Comic Post Type does not chow in RSS feed.

More Issues may exist and many bugs are yet known. This is not ready for public release.

Well, it’s Good Friday. I am not really sure how calendar creators over the years decide when Christians celebrate Jesus’s Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascention, but I love this time of year.
For atheists and others who deny Christ’s existence, I honestly feel sorry for them. Why? They are missing out on a life they shouldv’e had, not the one they made for themselves.
Sometimes, I don’t understand how atheists are who they are. Do they not realize there is proof in God’s existence? What I do know is that even if you took the Bible out of play, world history records that a man named Jesus was crucified for his teachings. Were those teachings so bad that people feel they were of a looney? Gee, He only taught about love, tolerance, forgiveness. He got on a cross to prove that and more. I guess to atheists, faith in something they can’t see if just to hard for them, so they choose not to believe.
It is just too difficult for them to believe in something so beautiful and pure, full of love and kindness.
People read the Bible and gather that God is not kind. They apparently forget men not God wrote the Bible. Yes, God inspired it, but His pure thoughts might not have been written that way thanks to the ways of the imperfect man. It has been twisted to serve many an evil purpose-Hitler used it to kill six million Jews, slave-owners used it to say blacks were less than whites. It is all in how you read it.
Churches can twist the Bible as well. Remember that the Bible in the hands of men can be twisted because man is twisted. The Bible is filled with the words that Christ wanted men to hear if they would pay attention to it. Everybody seems to dwell on the “eye for and eye” quote and death to those who will lie down with beasts or the same sex. They forget about the verse DO NOT JUDGE, LEST YOU BE JUDGED! Christ’s words in the Bible are of love, respect and forgiveness. They are also of a warning- HE IS COMING BACK FOR HIS FOLLOWERS! Won’t atheists be shocked? Or will they?
People think that if there is a God, why doesn’t He stop the bad-well you have to understand in God first-I do wonder where atheists think the good and evil in a person comes from though.
I KNOW there is God and Christ and Holy Spirit. I have seen his miracles in my life and it is not magic. I don’t give money to any church and God still loves me. I don’t have to pay penance and I won’t stay in purgatory-Jesus paid the price for me.
I have had many bad things in my life. Some that made me want to forget about God and the whole afterlife deal, but that is what my faith is about-holding on to it no matter how hard things get-I won’t curse God and die. I realize that it is hard to change and become something new. I have found that the rewards are far greater than all of the pains I have suffered. God has always carried me through the rough patches, like a soldier picking up the injured and carrying them to safety. I always come out on the other side.
I am sad we were and are so sorry as human beings that Christ had to do what He had to do, but I am thankful He saved me from Hell. Thank You God for what you sent to save us all, and I will pray for those who just don’t think you sent anything at all.
